this website started out as a recipe website. it was the result of a lifetime of food enthusiasm, of cooking and eating a lot, of obtaining a culinary arts degree and a curiousness of what it takes to create recipes (and a website). at some point i deleted all meat-based recipes, then i felt done and i took it offline for a while.

in the meantime i gradually started to grasp the power of food better, and its damaging effects. as our eyes are opening to how our old ways are causing immense harm to us and our planet, my longing to be part of a solution grew. my activism grew. i started a master in gender and diversity studies which provided me with an extra lens to look at things. and all the things are linked.

now this website is an exploration of what I love: the joy of food and how it intersects with social and environmental issues.
